The Kokuyo Mirikeshi Eraser is a clever tool for all your eraser needs. Featuring five differently sized edges it is the ideal eraser, whether you only want to erase a small bit in a sketch or erase a whole line from your notebook. The half sized Mirikeshi comes in a pack of two, containing one white and one black eraser. The name Mirikeshi is a portmanteau of the Japanese words for millimetre and eraser, pointing to the specific size of each of the eraser’s five edges: 1mm, 3mm, 4mm, 5mm, 6mm. Designed by 72-year old visual designer Yuji Baba it takes the initial idea of Kokuyo’s popular Kadokeshi Eraser (now part of MoMA’s permanent design collection) one step further. With the Mirikeshi you will never have to look for the right edge on your eraser and even better, never worry about blunt edges again. You can simply cut off a slice of the Mirikeshi with a sharp knife and all the edges are as good as new. The numbers, marking every edge’s width, run through the whole eraser and therefore never rub off: Brilliant design from edge to edge.
